Job Title: Human Resources Manager, Systems and Analytics

Location: (ADS HQ - Not remote) Virginia Beach, VA

Work Environment:

  • Office environment
  • Minimal travel (about 2-5 times a year)
  • Occasional weekends, holidays, and after business hours

Job Functions: Human Resources Manager – Systems and Analytics will coordinate and evaluate programs that support the current and future ADS team. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Strategy, this individual will analyze and evaluate ongoing human strategy policies, programs, and activities. The Human Resources Manager– Systems and Analytics will be responsible for providing executive level data analysis on key HR metrics, support our compensation process and manage our HRIS optimization efforts.

As the Human Resources Manager, Systems and Analytics you will be responsible for...

  • Monitor and analyze key human strategy metrics around hiring, training, and engagement. Identify trends and make recommendations to all levels of management.
  • Oversee the optimization process of our HRIS. Evaluate how we are currently using our systems, recognize opportunities for improvement, make recommendations for consolidating and manage relationships with third-party vendors and consultants.
  • Develop, maintain, and regularly update the company's human strategy scorecard.
  • Support the company's annual compensation process through a data-driven lens. Provide reporting on current compensation data, pay grades, and market data.
  • Develop, prepare, and analyze ongoing and reports related to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc. Effectively utilize the data processing system to obtain, store and analyze pertinent data and information.
  • Provides HR analytics guidance and interpretation. Develops, reviews, and revises policies/procedures.
  • Supports other general HR functions as needed included employee relations, recruitment, and training.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


  • 5+ years of human resources experience; experience in HR at a small to mid-size firm preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with HRIS platforms.
  • Expert-level ability to analyze data in Excel.
  • Experience identifying trends in data and creating executive-level summaries of in varying formats including scorecards, presentations, and reports.
  • Working knowledge of system and process optimization best practices.
  • Thorough understanding of compensation practices and philosophies.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; equivalent professional and/or military experience may be acceptable upon hiring managers discretion.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) current certification preferred.
  • Prior HRIS management experience preferred.
  • Must be passionate about the organization with a strong understanding of our mission and vision.
  • Must be self-directed, flexible, and demonstrate ability to remain positive in the face of challenges.
