ADS is currently seeking a candidate for our newly opened Supplier Account Manager position within the C4ISR Market!

C4ISR market covers: Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance.

This is a sales role, working the B2B side of ADS' supplier network for eventual resell into the United States Government(USG). The role will work out of ADS HQ in the Virginia Beach, VA area.

 

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate develop relationships with new and existing suppliers for ADS in the Information Technology market for resell to the USG.
  • Evaluate and review manufacturers and products to determine if offerings will benefit both ADS and our customers. Travel to new vendors facilities to assess capability first hand.
  • Negotiate distribution agreements to include terms, conditions and pricing with suppliers that will benefit both ADS and customers.
  • Assist and support ADS sales team with product, pricing and deal strategies to help generate business and meet their company goals.
  • Effectively communicate the details of our supplier relationships internally and externally as required.
  • Coordinate sales training, joint sales calls and lead sharing with ADS sales team and suppliers.
  • Strengthen and grow the partnership between ADS and key suppliers through sales and marketing efforts.
  • Manage and help all departments and ADS team members with any "day to day" needs with our suppliers.
  • Maintain deep relationships with vendor community - continually reinforce ADS value proposition.
  • Understand competitive landscape for category segment.
  • Work with IT suppliers/OEMs to support large level IDIQ that ADS is pursuing as a prime contractor.

 

STRATEGIC PLANNING

  • Create and execute supplier plans that bring value and measurable revenue to ADS Sales.
  • Assess these plan/s quarterly and adjust as needed.

 

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

  • Fully understand existing contracts available in your category segment.
  • Support capture efforts for new contracts, as required.

 

PRODUCT EXPERTISE

  • Increase vendor portfolio with emerging technology and sought after equipment
  • Maintain great relationship and accurate cost/price data with relevant/desired supplier base
  • Become resident expert on market trends via research, industry events, partner suppliers and customer meetings

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS - 25-50% TRAVEL REQUIRED

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 3-5 years' experience with US Government contracting and acquisition
  • 2 years' successful experience in business development and/or program management
  • 3+ years' experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word must be highly proficient
  • Must demonstrate DRIVE and ability to solve problems independently, without prompting
  • Must possess strong and fearless negotiations skills while still managing relationships with finesse

 

ADS experience may be substituted for any of the above at the manager's discretion.

**All employees accepting a position as Supplier Account Manager will be expected to make an 18-month commitment and may not transfer to another role without approval from the EVP of Sales.
