Overall responsibilities

This role requires collaboration across all departments within ADS, Inc. in order to find and develop new solutions to automate and enhance current business processes, and to lay the foundation for the organization's long-term digital transformation strategy. The software engineer must work in the Salesforce development platform, and integrate with external data sources via API calls and middleware platforms such as Jitterbit. This role also requires the ongoing maintenance and administration of technical systems, both commercially available and developed internally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years previous development experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle
  • Proficiency in at least one software development language such as'but not limited to'Salesforce Apex, Java, Ruby, Go, Python, JavaScript, or Swift
  • Experience integrating applications via APIs
  • Experience working with relational databases such as'but not limited to'Oracle, Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL
  • Experience with and implementing Agile project management principles
  • Experience with Git and GitHub

Other desired qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or related field
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified App Developer
  • Experience with web frameworks such as'but not limited to'Rails, Revel, Django, or Node.js
  • Experience with Continuous Integration using Jenkins or Travis
  • Understanding of Human Centered Design or Design Thinking
  • Experience with test-driven development
