RESPONSIBILITIES

This position exists to manage, and when possible anticipate, customer needs and provide legendary customer service for your area of responsibility.

RESPOND TO CUSTOMER REQUESTS VIA PHONE & EMAIL

 

    • Source products and develop quotes based on customer requests
  • This role will include contract management

 

  • Become familiar with partner vendors and making product suggestions
  • Research and price new products and identify new vendors as needed
  • Negotiate with vendors on pricing & delivery
  • Make recommendations on contracts or other funding vehicles
  • Develop relationships to generate repeat business

 

ACT AS CONTRACT EXPERT

 

  • Consult and make recommendations on use of ADS large contract vehicles
  • Oversee and consult on directly awarded customer-specific contracts
  • Will be working with both small and multimillion dollar contracts across a spectrum of customers

 

SALES ADMINISTRATION

 

  • New customer setup
  • Order booking & delivery instructions
  • Post-order follow up

 

UTILIZE SALESFORCE CRM

 

  • Track all activities & opportunities

 

SUPPORT OUTSIDE SALES REPS

 

  • Provide recommendations for deal strategy
  • Assist in closing sales

 

SUPPORT ENTIRE TEAM AS NEEDED

 

SENIOR INSIDE ACCOUNT MANAGERS successfully execute on all of the responsibilities above as well as the following:

Provide mentorship to new Inside Account Managers

  • Expected to mentor a minimum of 2 new reps each year for a period of 6 months

Assist with IR training

  • Expected to assist with development, facilitation, and assessment of at least two classes each year

Act as backup to Inside Sales Manager as needed

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree required

  • 5 years of relevant (B-to-G) sales experience may be substituted at hiring manager's discretion

Minimum 2 years of sales & customer support experience in a non-call center environment

  • Must be able to operate in a completely unscripted environment
  • Retail experience will be considered, but B-to-G, B-to-B or Financial Services are highly preferred

3 years' experience with MS Office in a work environment, particularly Excel & Outlook

  • Salesforce CRM experience highly preferred

Must have a highly developed ability to multi-task. This position is expected to be able to switch gears quickly and be able to comfortably operate with multiple interruptions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills must be able to talk to new people with ease

Prior experience with government contracts strongly preferred

Extended hours and occasional travel (3-4X/year) may be required

 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SENIOR IR

Minimum 3 years of ADS Sales Experience

Ranked in top 25% of IRs on team

Demonstrated ability to expertly navigate Salesforce

  • Must be able to clearly articulate best practices & expectations to others

In-depth understanding of ADS capabilities and a ready ability to link those to customer needs

Work is generally regarded as high quality and error free

  • Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of activity

Ranked in top 20% of KPIs (open to discussion if KPIs are in question)

 

Please be aware, all candidates accepting a position in Sales will be expected to remain in their position for a minimum of two years prior to being allowed to apply for an internal transfer.  Management reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy for business necessities.
